The Municipality of Thessaloniki and the Deputy Mayor of the Municipal Police, Municipal Communities and Neighborhoods are celebrating KOULOUMA 2024, with an authentic traditional feast full of dance, music, plenty of wine and traditional fasting foods.

Citizens, residents and visitors of the city are welcome to the four events organized for Clean Monday.

Analytically:

In the 3rd Municipal Community the ancestral custom of kite flying will take place on Kedrinos Lofos (Sheikh Sou’s forest – Tsiatra Square) from 10:00 to 15:00, accompanied by dance groups and traditional dishes.

The event will be accompanied by the dance groups of: the Cultural and Folklore Association “Friends of Tradition”, the dance group of young refugees I.N. St. Dimitriou, the adult dance company I.N. St. Marinis and the Papafi Folklore Society.

In the 4th Municipal Community the established event will take place in the Theater of the Toumpa Culture Center, (Gr. Lambrakis and Kleanthos) from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Cultural clubs of Toumba participate in the event accompanied by a traditional orchestra.

The Fifth Municipal Community invites us to the New Switzerland Grove from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to “get together” to celebrate Koulouma, with live music, dancing, wine and traditional dance groups.

At Municipal Unit of Triandria the kouloumas will be celebrated in the courtyard of the former 1st Primary School of Triandria from 11:00 to 15:00 with the participation of dance forms of the Associations of Triandria.
