In the framework of the Memorandum, TAIPED and TEE agreed to work together with the aim of the functional and static restoration of the “Calatrava” roofs
Memorandum of Cooperation (MoU) for the functional and static restoration of the “Calatrava” roofs of the Central Stadium, and the Cycle Track, of the OAKA signed by the mandated advisor and head of its Strategic Contracts Unit TAIPED Panagiotis Stamboulidis and its president TEE Giorgos Stasinos. In this way, the close cooperation of the two sides is sealed for the fastest and safest reopening of the Olympic Sports Center (OAKA).
In the framework of the Memorandum, TAIPED and TEE agreed to work together with the aim of functional and static restoration of the roofs, projects funded by the Recovery and Resilience Fund.
TAIPED, as the Executive Authority, has assumed the responsibilities the maturation, the execution of the tender procedures and the monitoring of the execution of the contracts for the implementation of the project, while the TEE acts as a Technical Advisor, and performs any related activity for the rapid and safe restoration of structures.
Mr. Stampoulidis said: “By signing the Memorandum of Cooperation, we are joining forces with the TEE, so that the OAKA can be delivered safe and functional to all citizens and once again emerge as a sports and cultural attraction. With transparency, efficiency and consistency, TAIPED and TEE will complete all the necessary procedures that will modernize and upgrade the most important Olympic sports infrastructure of our country, with multiple national and economic benefits”.
Meanwhile, the president of TEE stated: “TEE, serving its institutional role as Technical Advisor to the State, is cooperating with TAIPED for the rapid completion of the necessary actions for the re-operation of OAKA’s facilities. With the scientific knowledge of its members, it supports the State scientifically and technically. And in the matter of OAKA’s facilities, we stand by, with scientific excellence and modern technical and technological proposals”.
