A 46% decrease compared to the average weekly number of new admissions over the previous 4 weeks showed the number of admissions for Covid-19, according to the epidemiological data of the last week (from March 11 to 17) from the National Public Health Organization (EODY). The same time, the positivity for influenza in the community it remains above 10% which is an indicative seasonal threshold for the onset of epidemic influenza activity, while one patient died.

THE number of intubated by coronavirus is a total of 13 while at the same time 8 deaths were recorded in patients with Covid infection.

The most common sub-variant of BA.2 remains JN.1 (>85% from week 6 onwards) (provisional data).
