Emergency traffic arrangements on streets and avenues of the Municipality of Athens will come into effect due to the student parade to celebrate the National Anniversary of March 25, 1821, on Sunday 3-24-2024.

The arrangements on Sunday 24 March concern the roads:

  • Temporary and gradual stoppage of vehicular traffic, from 10:00 a.m. on 24-3-2024 until the end of the events, as well as a ban on their stopping – parking, from 06:00 a.m. until the end of the events on the avenues and streets below, as following:
  • Vas. Amalias Avenue, along its entire length in both (2) traffic streams, as well as on its perpendiculars up to the first parallel street.
  • Vas. Sofias Ave., in the section between Sekeri Street and Vas. Amalia Ave., in the traffic flow towards Pl. Constitution.
  • Bas. George I, along its entire length.
  • El. Venizelou (University), along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
  • Vass. Olgas Ave., along its entire length in both (2) traffic streams.
  • Syngrou Ave., in the section between Ath. Diakos and Dionysiou Areopagitou streets, in the traffic flow towards Pl. Constitution.

It is pointed out that on Monday 3-25-2024 student parades will be held in Attica Municipalities during which the Traffic Police will take the necessary traffic measures.

In order to better serve them and avoid additional traffic problems, drivers are requested to avoid crossing and parking their vehicles on the above streets and avenues during the mentioned time intervals and to follow the signals and instructions of the traffic controllers.

Traffic arrangements due to the Military parade in Athens on Monday
Due to the military parade to celebrate the National Anniversary of 25 March 1821 on Monday 25-3-2024, the following traffic arrangements will be in place:

Sunday 24-3-2024:

  • Temporary and gradual stoppage of vehicular traffic, as well as a ban on stopping and parking from 06:00 on 24-3-2024 until the end of the Military parade on 25-3-2024 on the streets below and on the streets below them up to the first parallel street:
  • Achilles, in the section between Pl. Karaiskaki and Thermopylon Street in both (2) traffic streams.
  • Lenorman, along its entire length in both (2) traffic streams.
  • Zucchini, along its entire length.
  • Bourvachi, along its entire length.
  • Petmeza, along its entire length.
  • Kallirois, in the section between Vouliagmeni Street and Petmeza Street, in the traffic flow from Vouliagmeni Street to Frantzis.
  • Karolou, along its entire length in both (2) traffic streams.
  • Marni, along its entire length in both (2) traffic streams.
  • Anth/gou St. Reguku, along its entire length in both (2) traffic streams.
  • Temporary and gradual stoppage of vehicular traffic, as well as a ban on stopping and parking from 12:00 on 24-3-2024 to 19:30 on 25-3-2024 on the unnamed road that leads from the Lycabettus Ring Road to Lycabettus Hill.

Monday 25-3-2024:

  • Temporary and gradual stoppage of vehicular traffic, as well as a ban on stopping & parking from 06:00 until the end of the Military parade on the avenues and streets below and on the perpendicular ones up to the first parallel street:
  • Vas. Sofias Avenue, in the section between Vas. Kon/nos and Vas. Amalias Avenues and in both (2) traffic streams.
  • Date Atticus, along its entire length.
  • Bas. George II, along its entire length.
  • Bas. George I, along its entire length.
  • Vas. Amalias Ave., along its entire length in both (2) traffic streams.
  • El. Venizelou (University), along its entire length.
  • Pl. Omonia.
  • Piraeus, in the section between Pl. Omonia and Ieras Odos in both (2) traffic streams.
  • Athena, along its entire length in both (2) traffic streams.
  • St. Konstantinou, along its entire length.
  • Pl. Karaiskakis.
