As he said, a dialogue has been opened with the State for the active contribution of pharmacists in the conduct of vaccinations, although the periodicity of this vaccine is not yet known to the international medical community, however, he pointed out that it is a matter of time before it is found. “It is something that the government itself has told us from the beginning that it wants to do it, because it knows from some foreign countries that already do it, that it has great benefits, as the vaccination in the pharmacy saves resources and at the same time upgrades the quality of services. “This is because if the same population is dispersed in many more pharmacies, and every pharmacist can vaccinate some citizens, this will increase the attention, efficiency, quality and safety of vaccination.”

Already during pandemic “During these two years, pharmacists have played a key role in persuading, especially skeptical citizens, to be vaccinated and have contributed greatly in this direction,” said Mr. Dagres.

Mr. Dagres also referred to studies conducted by the Panhellenic Pharmaceutical Association, which will measure the benefit to the Health System of all the services offered by Pharmacies. “These studies will calculate how many millions of euros the Health System saves each year thanks to the services of Pharmacies, but also how much reduction, for example, in visits to Hospitals or doctors we gain as a country, thanks to these services.”
