Its verdict on the horrific case of the 12-year-old girl from Colonos is expected to be announced on Friday morning by the Mixed Jury Court, which since last January has tried 25 men and the child’s mother for the sexual violence and exploitation she suffered over a series of months in 2022. the girl.

The court, which meets behind closed doors for the protection of the child, is expected on Friday morning to announce who and for what charges it considers guilty or innocent for the unimaginable journey to hell that the underage schoolgirl was led to with the protagonists in the fetid case, 55-year-old Ilias Michos , the mother and another defendant called “Michalis”, who as a third pimp allegedly promoted the little girl through an online application. The charges attributed to them are serious and concern high-profile pimping and trafficking in child pornography. However, Michos is also on trial for the charge of rape, as the case file admits that after the brutal sexual violence he inflicted on the 12-year-old girl, he began promoting it to other men as well.

The judges, except for the three considered as the main defendants and for the 23 men who are tried as “clients”. According to the case file, 18 of them paid and performed sexual acts with the little girl. The rest are on trial either because they went to meet the 12-year-old and did not proceed because the victim left the “rendezvous”, or because they had in their possession pornographic material of the minor.

The court heard a few days ago the position of the District Attorney who recommended that Mihos be found guilty of aggravated abuse of a minor in lawlessness judging that he should be acquitted due to doubts about the rape. He also did not accept that the 55-year-old was prostituting the child and asked that he be found guilty of facilitating pimping. In total, he asked for the businessman’s acquittal for four heavy charges and guilt for another four. He also asked for the guilt of the mother of the child as she is on trial, considering that she should be judged strictly as she had the care and custody of the 12-year-old. Accordingly, he pleaded guilty for “Michalis”. As for the “customers”, the prosecutor asked for the guilt of 22 and the acquittal of one.

This was followed by the purchase of the advocates in continuous meetings, in order to complete the process on time, as in the first days of April the expiry of the 18 months of the defendants begins.

With the completion and purchase of the advocates, the court, after having assessed all the facts, will announce on Friday whether it will accept the reasoning of the public prosecutor or whether the judgment of the three ordinary judges and the four juries is based on a different basis.
