Relatives of victims of the fatal train accident in Tempe are expected to testify today supplementary charges to the Appellate Investigator.

According to ertnews.gr, the lawsuits concern representatives of the Fire Department and the Forensic Service. Relatives of the victims claim that medical examiners were not at the scene of the accident for the autopsy and only an autopsy was performed.

They also claim that the Fire Department did not take care to put out the fire, to fence off the area. They invoke for this, a law of December 2022 on how to deal with disasters and they argue that the area should have been cordoned off and that no one but the representatives of the authorities and experts should be allowed to enter.

They repeat the claim that “the experts were not at the scene of the accident to examine the place, the wagons, etc., as 3-4 days later the site was “grounded”, the soil was moved and the wagons were also moved, so the experts examined them in Koulouri ».

The lawyer of the injured family and victims’ families, Mr. Loukas Apostolidis, has already submitted a written question to the Appellate investigator, accordingly requesting a written answer on whether a prosecutor was present at the “bazoma”.
