The brand new medium size Ford Explorer is an all-electric crossover designed for an active lifestyle and designed in Europe with the needs of consumers on the old continent in mind, where it is produced at the advanced Ford Cologne Electrification Center in Germany.

Now, the new Ford Explorer is immediately available for order in Greece in Extended Range battery versions with either rear-wheel drive (RWD) or four-wheel drive (AWD), through the use of highly efficient permanent magnet electric motors. Later in the year, the range will be enriched with versions with standard capacity battery (Standard Range).
The rear-wheel drive RWD version of the new Ford Explorer produces a maximum power of 286PS and a readily available torque of 545 Nm, while in the four-wheel drive AWD the corresponding performance values ​​are 340PS and 684 Nm. Performance is also top notch, with top speed reaching 180 km/h and acceleration from 0-100 km/h being completed in 6.4 seconds. for Explorer RWD and 5.3 sec. for Explorer AWD.

The new Ford Explorer is equipped with an advanced electrical circuit that supports all types of charging in both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC). On a high-power DC fast charger, the lithium-ion battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 26 minutes for AWD versions, while on a full charge the new Ford Explorer RWD is able to achieve a range of up to 602 km.
Information on the charging and range of the new Ford Explorer is available using the advanced FordPass app, through which customers can schedule charging at times of their choice to take advantage of favorable tariffs (for example during night hours) while ensuring that charging are such as to ensure the smooth completion of their upcoming journeys.
Also, with the FordPass app, drivers can set the times they will depart, activating the pre-conditioning function to achieve the ideal temperature in the cabin while the vehicle is charging, saving more electricity in the battery.
Also, the connected navigation system of the new Ford Explorer, combined with the intelligent trip computer (EV Trip Planner), can locate the locations of public charging stations during the journey encouraging drivers to charge at the most convenient for them points so they don’t have to worry about the rest of the range.
