He was sentenced to four years in prison 49-year-old disabled for performing sexual acts with a 16-year-old, for pay. The Three-member Misdemeanor Court of Thessaloniki decided to release him before the Court of Appeal, while also imposing a monetary penalty on him.

According to the case file, the minor was housed in an orphanage and during her outings, as she testified to the police in front of a psychologist, she was given out in the squares of the boys’ love on Giannitsson Street, in Thessaloniki.

The same thing happened on the day of the event in question, last June. “He asked me how old I am and I told him 17.5, that is, a year older than I am,” said the victim in her preliminary investigation statement, which was read in court.

When the defendant refused to pay the agreed amount of 50 euros for his services, she reciprocated. “To force him to pay I took his cell phone and ran out of the car,” he said. A passer-by heard voices and notified the Police, who were dispatched to arrest the 49-year-old.

In his apology, he said that the complainant looked older, while he denied what she complained to him, saying that nothing happened between them. “I gave the money in front of the police so that he would give me back the mobile phone,” he said, sitting in a wheelchair, as he lives with an amputated leg and arm.

The Court decided that the appeal should have a stay on the execution of the sentence until the Court of Appeal. His defense had also submitted a related request, invoking his minor daughter whom he is raising alone and who takes care of him, as he said.

“As long as there are people who will pursue market love, this abominable phenomenon will be maintained,” the district attorney said, referring to the minor of the victim, while requesting the conviction of the accused.
