Three gang members aged 17, 23 and 24 were handcuffed by Rafina Security officers after a coordinated police operation.
The defendants – among them a minor – had become the fear and terror of shopkeepers in Mesogeia, which were robbed in a cinematic way.
As seen in the video document published by skai.gr, the members of the gang they literally broke into the stores with cars they had earlier stolen and grabbed cash registers and merchandise.
As it emerged from the police investigation, the defendants chose to move mainly at night, initially removing old-style cars.
Then, after choosing their target store, based on the ease of gaining access to the interior and the possibility of immediate escape (glass facade), they crashed into them with the stolen cars, causing significant damage.
Sometimes unable to enter the shops with the vehicle, they broke the glass facades by throwing objects, and it is noted that they carried out consecutive shop burglaries during one night.
So far 14 thefts have been solved stores and six vehicle thefts from its areas Rafina, Marathon, Spata, Paania, Pallini, Glyke Neroni and Koropi.
