“She is a strong child, she needs to restart her life. She is a very good student at school,” added the 12-year-old’s lawyer
“My principal has a position and it is proven by the documentary material. That this man did not commit pimping and rape. The truth will come out at some point,” the lawyer of the 55-year-old from Colonos, Maria Kourtesi, said to SKAI and on the show “Dekatianoi” with Yiannis Pittaras and Giorgos Grigoriadis.
“There is a presumption of innocence for the crimes, which he did not accept from the first moment, and for this he will be tried in the second degree” added Ms. Kourtesis.
“The issue is to preserve the institutions, justice”, emphasized the lawyer of the 55-year-old from Colonos.
On her part, lawyer of 12-year-old Aspasia Tarahopoulou argued: “The presumption of innocence does not apply to the accused, because there is already a conviction against him”.
Regarding the acquittal of the 12-year-old’s mother, Ms. Tarahopoulou asserted that “the mother was waiting for this decision, from the first moment she said that she is innocent. She believes in her innocence, she was saying it from the first moment.”
Asked about the communication she had with the 12-year-old, Mrs. Tarahopoulou replied that “she is very happy, happy and waiting to see her mom. He wants to see her, to hug her, which has been denied to her for 18 months.”
“She is a strong child, she needs to restart her life. She is a very good student at school,” he added and noted that the 12-year-old and her brother are with their aunt, while the family’s four minor children are with their grandmother.
