According to a police statement, the arrested intended to traffic cocaine in the wider area of Attica
In the area of Byron, two foreigners, aged 33 and 54, were arrested by police officers of the Narcotics Prosecution Sub-Directorate of the Attica Security Directorate, for – as the case may be – violation of the legislation on addictive substances and violence against employees.
According to a police announcement, following an investigation and utilization of information regarding the action of the accused in the trafficking of cocaine in the wider area of Attica, the accused were located and their criminal activity was certified.
The 33-year-old man, in order to frustrate the police check and escape his arrest, put up a strong resistance, however the police proceeded to immobilize him.
From a search of the houses and their possessions, the following were found and confiscated:
- 225 grams of cocaine, the sum of 19,170 euros, 20 US dollars, 40 British pounds, 20 Swiss francs and 600 Danish kroner,
- 2 electronic precision scales, electronic air evacuation device,
- 4 mobile phones,
- 2 cars and loads of nylon packaging.
Those arrested were taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Athens.
