Anxious searches at the fateful Euroferry Olympia remain in progress with hopes of locating other survivors unfortunately diminishing as the hours go by.
Senior officials of the Coast Guard and the Fire Brigade report that a very large part of the boat, about half, has already been checked, without having found anyone alive.
The men, who operate in groups of ten, are now trying to reach other parts of the ship with efforts to find survivors to continue throughout the night, given the good weather conditions, so that there is no time left , which could be critical to the life of someone trapped, untapped.
Despite the fact that the time that has passed makes the chances of locating survivors extremely small, there is still always hope for another miracle, as happened earlier today in the case of the 21-year-old Ukrainian.
Earlier, his family identified the body of the driver who was found in the afternoon in garage 2 of the burning Euroferry Olympia. This is a 58-year-old native named Evangelos Malesiovas.
The ship is being searched by specialized teams to locate the remaining 10 missing.
