The culinary landscape of the country, the trends, the developments, the best chefs, were highlighted for another year through the organization of the Golden Caps. It is worth noting that Hector Botrini is again the big “winner”, with two Golden Caps.

The highest score of the institution was collected by two restaurants of chef Hector Botrini, Etrusco in Corfu and Botrini’s Athens, occupying first and second place respectively. Of course, Hector Bottrini’s victory is no surprise, since Etrusco has been at the top of the “gold list” for 12 consecutive years.

A total of 43 restaurants were distinguished this year scattered throughout the Greek territory, in insular and mainland Greece – mainly, if not exclusively, in tourist destinations.

The 17 of the distinguished restaurants are concentrated in the wider area of ​​Athens. As has consistently happened in recent years, the important tourist areas of our country are those that have the lion’s share of the awards (23 in total on the Aegean, Ionian and Halkidiki islands), with Santorini, in fact, reaching 9 this year Golden Cap restaurants.

Very close to the highly prized 15, which secures the Golden Cap, 19 restaurants were found, whose chefs and owners left with the honor “Top Notch”. For another year the award was given “To Watch” to the best new restaurant (this is Nyn Esti), while o Thodoris Mousidis is Chef Patissier 2024 as of yesterday.
