A 15-year-old’s phone call to Immediate Action, where reported his father’s continued abusive behavior towards his mother, but also towards himself, led to the arrest of a 50-year-old man in Thessaloniki.

With memories of previous similar episodes fresh, the 15-year-old high school student received a phone call yesterday from a family friend who had been approached by his mother earlier, with the latter complaining that she was not feeling well.
“I thought that dad hit mom again and I immediately called 100. I was far away and thought that I won’t make it in time. I feel like I have to protect my mom. When I’m away from home my mind is constantly there,” the minor testified to the police, expressing his desire for his father to leave the house “so we can calm down.”
The 50-year-old Albanian citizen, marked among other things for attempted murder and with a past incarceration in prisons, he was arrested with the spontaneous procedure and against him, criminal charges were brought against him for continuous domestic bodily harm and continuous bodily harm to a minor, simple and dangerous.
