He may have “jumped” all the way to the Pro-Po agency to play a lucky ticket, but apparently it wasn’t his lucky day, as it turned out, for one of the two young men arrested in the case of the studio apartment in a central street Heraklion. The 28-year-old, who works as a chef in a well-known restaurant, was eventually found in handcuffs, as was his 31-year-old friend, who is considered the central figure in this case.

In fact, according to information, police officers, very discreetly, checked the premises used by 28 years old at work for the possibility that he had concealed something, unbeknownst to his colleagues. Nothing came of the investigation.

The two friends grew up in Heraklion, while in recent years they also lived in England. The 31-year-old had reportedly been put under surveillance a long time ago. The police officers they had ended up in a house in her area Holy Trinity, but the “timing” was not deemed appropriate to conduct an investigation. At some point they lost their tracks and then they were informed that the 31-year-old had gone abroad again. His return last fall to Heraklion again set off the “alarm”.

The studio apartment, in a large apartment building in the center of the city, had been rented as Airbnb about a month ago. Apparently, they thought it was a safe hiding place and moved all the “goods” there: cocaine, hashish, scales… About 20,000 euros in cash were also found there. This time the police officers did not have to dig up lyophytes, nor “dig” through manure and under hay.

A barrel of rice was also found in the apartment, which was still muddy. It is estimated that the drugs were hidden in this barrel and “planted” somewhere in the countryside. When they started using the studio, they moved it there. An agenda with handwritten notes was also found. They recorded, according to the police, coded names, quantities and amounts.
