She breathed life into the natural environment with an important initiative of her Henkel Consumer Brands. At a time when fires and climate change are destroying the natural landscape around us, Henkel Consumer Brands carried out with great success the 1st voluntary reforestation action of the Agia Triada region, in Agios Stefanos, on Mount Penteli, which was destroyed by the fires of recent years.

After all, Henkel Hellas stands out for its constant commitment to corporate social responsibility and environmental protection through actions that highlight its social and environmental awareness.

In this context, the employees of Henkel Consumer Brands, of the world-leading sector in hair care, laundry and house cleaning products, along with their families and the Sympraxis team volunteered and planted the first 250 trees in the area. With a wide smile and enthusiasm, they put their own stone to give a breath of green again to a vital lung of Attica that was seriously affected by repeated destructive fires.

The goal of the 70 volunteers who participated was to encourage active action and the need for the protection and regeneration of the natural environment.

The point where the reforestation took place was chosen with the view that there is no possibility of natural regeneration. Trees were planted that enhance the area’s biodiversity and prevent rapid spread in case of fire.

The success of the action will be judged by the survival rate of the trees that will be planted and not only by their number.
