Five minor high school studentswho are on a school trip to Ioannina, were arrested after police checks for criminal behavior, while the teachers responsible for the school trips, as well as their parents, are accused of neglect of supervision.

In particular, yesterday at 10 pm, police officers of the Juvenile Protection Office of the Security Sub-Directorate of Ioannina, when they tried to check on four 16-year-old students, they resisted by pushing them away and using violence against them. In addition, they tried to run away, but were immediately stopped by the police and arrested for the offenses of violence against employees, insubordination and bodily harm.

Shortly after midnight, he was arrested by police officers of the Immediate Action Department of Ioannina, a 17-year-old student, for violating the drug legislation. During the police check, two improvised cigarettes containing smoke mixed with raw cannabis were found and confiscated in his possession, while in a search of a hotel room where he was staying, a plastic grater with cannabis residue was found and confiscated.

In both cases, the teachers responsible for the school trips, in which the minors participated, were arrested for neglect of supervision, while their parents are also accused of the same crime.

A preliminary investigation into the two cases is carried out by the Ioannina Security Sub-Directorate.
