Officially, after the previous court decision and the bureaucratic process by the Administrative Services of the Municipality of Agia Paraskevi, the daughter of Babis Anagnostopoulos and Caroline she changed her last name and took her mother’s patronymic.

According to what TheNewspaper.gr reveals, the Municipality of Ag. Paraskevis approved the change of surname and now the minor who lives with her grandmother and her family in the Philippines is called Lydia Crouchs.

The proceedings were initiated by the lawyer of the family of Thanasis Harmanis from Volos.

Caroline Crouchs was a student of British and Filipino origin, who was murdered in the early hours of May 11, 2021 at her residence in Glyka Nera, Attica.

After 37 days, her husband, Babis Anagnostopoulos, when questioned, confessed to the police that he killed her himself. On June 22, he was remanded in custody on the charge of murdering his wife and their dog. The case attracted the interest of Greek and international media and social media, due to the developments that occurred during its investigation and its origin.
