Meeting with Mr. Petros Beleris, son of the Mayor of Heimarra and a candidate for MEP of the ND. K. Fred Beleris and with the former Minister of State Mr. Stavros Papastavrouhad this morning o Archbishop of Athens and all Greece Mr. Ieronymos.

The Archbishop welcomed Mr. Beleris and Mr. Papastavrou and was interested to know about the health of Fredis Beleris, who has been in prison for the last eleven months. Mr. Petros Beleris emphasized that my father “He drew strength from the support of the last few days, as well as from the Archbishop of Albania Mr. Anastasios, who visited him a few months ago, and also from the visit we made to you last time. With God’s help, I hope we will be vindicated”.

“The motherland struggles more broadly, we are thinking of you and praying”noted the Archbishop.

After the meeting the Archbishop stated: “I had the special pleasure of receiving Mr. Beleris and discussing the issue that is being discussed throughout Greece these days, the issue of his father. I heard with pleasure his choice to be a candidate for the European Parliament. I don’t see it within narrow national boundaries, but in the spirit of the power of freedom, which we all desire and we all must strive for wherever it is claimed.”.

Visit of Petros Beleris to the Archbishop

His Beatitude also pointed out that they exchanged various opinions and wished God to enlighten us all, to enlighten those in charge, wherever they are, in any part of the earth, so that freedom, which is a gift given by God to man, to be above everything else.

For his part, Mr. Beleris expressed his emotion for the meeting with the Archbishop and thanked him for the welcome, stressing that he will convey his blessing to his father.

The Director of the Press Office of the Archdiocese, Mr. Haris Konidaris, also attended the meeting.
