‘Ford Mustang Global Gallop’ event celebrates Ford Mustang’s global appeal with epic road trips across six continents throughout 2024

The Mustang was first introduced at the New York World’s Fair on April 17, 1964. To celebrate six decades of continuous production of the model, Ford is today introducing two new versions for Europe. The new Mustang California Special puts a modern twist on a special edition first introduced in 1968, while the new Mustang Nite Pony Package adds even more character with emotion-inducing styling enhancements.
At the same time, moving towards an electric future in Europe, Ford is expanding its electric Mustang Mach-E family for the first time with the company opening order books on April 30 for the stunning Mustang Mach-E Rally – the first EV to draw inspiration from from Ford’s participation in rally racing. On the occasion of Ford Mustang’s birthday, the first details on the ordering process for the new Mustang GTD are also announced.
As part of the “Mustang Day” celebrations by Ford and Mustang lovers, the event entitled “Ford Mustang Global Gallop” is included. Sixty Mustang ambassadors, journalists and bloggers will simultaneously embark on epic road trips across North America, South America, Europe, South Africa, China and Australia to witness the enduring popularity of Ford’s iconic sports car around the world .

Available in eight eye-catching exterior color options, including Iconic Silver and Vapor Blue, the California Special edition stands out for its distinctive stripes on the side surfaces that combine Medium Light Rave Blue and High and Low Gloss Black finishes. These feature a unique GT/CS lettering that is almost invisible in low light, but becomes much more visible in sunlight. Black bezels adorn the headlights, while the 19-inch alloy wheels feature a machined surface with Rave Blue details, complemented by a GT/CS badge on the front grille and a GT logo on the trunk, both in the same colour.
The interior of the new Mustang California Special is dominated by Navy Pier upholstery, as well as Ebony Black leather seats, with two-tone Raptor Blue and Metal Gray stitching that runs across the dashboard, doors, steering wheel and center console. emphasizing the exclusive nature of the publication.
