The barometric low accompanied by fronts and already causing worsening weather in most of the country has passed to the northern Aegean, where it is temporarily forecast to deepen and continue to affect mainly the eastern parts of the country with heavy rains and storms until noon on Saturday (04-20-24), at which time it will move further east, according to an update of the Emergency Bulletin of Hazardous Weather Phenomena.

Local hailstorms are expected to occur mainly in the eastern Aegean.

The winds will be strong and will reach 7 and locally 8 Beaufort.

A. Heavy rains and storms are predicted on Saturday (20-04-24):

Until noon in Thessaly (mainly in Magnesia and the eastern parts of Larissa), the Sporades, Evia (mainly the northern parts), in areas of central and eastern Macedonia (mainly Pieria, Halkidiki ), Thrace (mainly the southern and eastern parts), the islands of the eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese.

B. The effects until the midday hours today Saturday (20-04-24) will be particularly intense and present a greater risk in the following areas:

South Pieria

Northern Evia

Prefecture of Fthiotida (in the north)
