The recipe for chocolate bars with bourbon and pecan

How to make it:

1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 170 g unsalted butter, cold and diced ¼ cup sugar ¼ cup chopped pecans 5 tbsp ice water

For “filling”:

2/3 cup brown sugar 6 tablespoons flour for all uses 1 teaspoon salt 1 ½ cup corn syrup 4 eggs 1 tablespoon bourbon or whiskey 1 ½ chopped pecans 4 ounces sweet

How to make it:

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and line a baking tray with non-stick paper.

Mix the flour, butter and sugar in a bowl with the mixer. Beat on medium speed until the mixture looks like a thick crumb. Add the chopped pecans and ice water until the mixture starts to stick.

Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the edges are slightly browned.

To make the “filling”, put together the brown sugar, flour and salt in a large bowl and beat until smooth.

Add the corn syrup, eggs and bourbon and mix well. Add the pecans and chocolate. Spread the filling mixture evenly over the base. Bake for 30-35 minutes.

Put in the fridge for 30-40 minutes before cutting them into slices.
