In a statement co-signed by the president of the School of Medicine, Professor Nikolaos Arkadopoulos and the vice-president, Konstantinos Tsioufis, it is stated that “the professors of all Clinics and Laboratories, including the Vascular Surgery Clinic and the Second Intensive Care Clinic, are internationally renowned and provide the the same high level of care to all patients of the Hospital without exception”.
The Administration of the Faculty of Medicine of EKPA provides its support to the doctors of the “Attikon” hospital, after the issue that arose from the complaints of ND MP Yiannis Kallianou.

In particular, the announcement of the Administration of the Medical School of the Greek Academy of Sciences states:
“The University Clinics and Laboratories of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens operating at the “ATTIKON” University Hospital, since the first day of its establishment 20 years ago, offer very high level clinical, educational and research work. The P.G.N. “ATTIKON” enjoys the great trust of Greek citizens, as can be seen from their numerous and daily attendance and its constant high occupancy, being a center of reference for the whole country.
Regarding recent media reports, we emphasize that the professors of all Clinics and Laboratories, including the Vascular Surgery Clinic and the Intensive Care Unit B, are internationally recognized and provide the same high level of care to all patients of the Hospital without exception, following the guidelines, with results comparable to the best medical centers in Europe. Overall, the P.G.N. “ATTIKON” is a hub of excellence that contributes the most to the upgrading of the Country’s Health System”.
