589: The Third Synod of the local Church convenes in Toledo, which condemns Arianism, but introduces the filioque into the Creed, which will later cause the Schism between Eastern and Western Christianity.

1886: American workers, demonstrating for the establishment of the eight-hour shift in Chicago’s Haymarket Square, clash with the police. 8 police officers are killed and 60 are injured when a grenade is thrown by the demonstrators. Police open fire, killing untold numbers of protesters.

1941:Hitler praises the bravery of the Greeks. In his speech to the Reichstag, he states: “Historical justice obliges me to state that of all the opponents we faced, the Greek Army fought with the greatest heroism and self-sacrifice.”

1949: The first air tragedy in the history of sports is marked. A plane carrying the Torino team crashes on the Superga hill near the Italian city, killing 31 people, 18 of whom make up the Granata team with 10 internationals.

1970: The Ohio National Guard kills four students and injures 11 at Kent State University during protests against the Vietnam War. CSN&Y. they are inspired by the event and write their song “Ohio”.

1991:The 36th Eurovision Song Contest takes place in Italy. Karola emerged as the winner on behalf of Sweden, with the composition “Fangad Av En Stormvind” (Secluded by a storm). Our country participates with the song “Spring” by Andreas Mikroutsikos, which, performed by Sofia Vossou, ranks 13th.
