The second major meeting was held yesterday Tuesday at the Ministry of Citizen Protection, led by Minister Michalis Chrysochoidis, to finalize the measures to be taken for the final of the Europa Conference League between Olympiakos and Fiorentina, which will be held on May 29 at the OPAP Arena , in New Philadelphia.

Details (times and meeting points, MMM routes) were decided on how the fans will get to the stadium. They will be officially announced by ELAS by the end of the week at the latest.

The measures decided are unprecedented for a football match, with a large mobilization of forces. According to information from police sources there will be at least 5 control zones, which will start in a large radius around the stadium, where from the very first zone tickets will be checked and scanned.

In fact, in the last control zone, about 70 meters from the field, a metal fence around the perimeter of the field will be built by a private company, where the final control will take place.

More than 3,000 thousand policemen will operate in the control zones alone. They do not count the officers of the Anti-Terrorism, the State Service and other special services as well as police officers who will be allocated for the special measures for the officials.

Police are expected to appeal to fans to avoid driving to the stadium as several roads will be closed and there is a risk of serious traffic congestion.

The fans of Olympiakos will leave for the final stadium from the Elektrikos station in Faliro to go to the Pefkakia station. These special trains will not stop at other stations.

The organized Italian fans are expected to gather at the OAKA and from there with a strong police escort they will go to the OPAP ARENA. Individual Italian fans will be informed by the police liaison of the Italian embassy in Athens on how to proceed.

ELAS is expected to ask the STASY administration to extend the operating hours of the Metro and the Electric Train in order to allow the fans to leave the stadium.

Special measures will be put in place for the movement of VIPs (UEFA officials, official guests, politicians) to and from the stadium.
