The new Ford Kuga Hybrid is available in our country in two versions with front-wheel drive (FWD) or all four (AWD) with an output of 180PS and 183PS respectively
Few mid-range SUVs today can boast that they can achieve as much in terms of consumption and autonomy as the new Ford Kuga Hybrid, which is powered by the most advanced and efficient hybrid drive system on the market, ensuring freedom of movement with a filling that reaches the 900 kilometers.
With extremely limited fuel consumption from just 5.3 lt for every 100 km according to the WLTP protocol for the version with front-wheel drive (FWD) and from 5.7 lt for the same distance for the four-wheel drive (AWD) , the new Ford Kuga literally does not stop anywhere, deservingly being the absolute champion in fuel economy and range in the medium SUV class.
Armed with Ford’s advanced Full Hybrid drive system
With the new Ford Kuga Hybrid, you never need to charge your car’s battery, since the intelligent hybrid drive system always takes care of it through the advanced regenerative braking it incorporates, as well as the ability of the even more powerful than before electric motor to it works in reverse as a generator during the vehicle deceleration process. Additionally, Ford’s upgraded 2.5L naturally aspirated engine is capable of feeding power to the battery in turn when conditions call for it.
With the ability to drive purely electrically for a long time and especially in an urban environment at a rate of up to 64%, the new Ford Kuga Hybrid hosts a self-charging hybrid drive system that has at its core an atmospheric, aluminum gasoline engine with a capacity of 2.5L, four cylinders and 16 valves with a variable timing system, which works according to the highly efficient thermodynamic Atkinson cycle. This motor works with a three-phase and water-cooled permanent magnet electric motor, which draws the necessary electricity for its operation from a water-cooled lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 1.1 kWh and is installed in a safe place, low to the floor of the car. All of this is controlled through an advanced unit and works with an upgraded power-split automatic transmission for even better fuel efficiency and ease of driving in all conditions.
In the front-wheel drive version, the Ford Kuga Hybrid delivers 180PS and in the four-wheel drive (AWD) 183PS, ensuring at the same time, in addition to very low fuel consumption and a range of 900 kilometers, class-leading performance. In particular, the top speed for both versions of the new Kuga Hybrid is 196 km/h, with acceleration from standstill to 100 km/h completed in 9.1 seconds. (FWD) and 8.3 sec. (AWD).
So nothing less than top performance on the road, advanced technology, low fuel consumption and autonomy with a filling that reaches 900 kilometers!
