The Minister of Labor and Social Security, Domna Michailidou, announced a few days ago amendments to the operation of the digital card to facilitate businesses.

In the context of the changes, Domna Michailidou underlined that the government will continue to work with the chambers and social partners in order for the Digital Labor Card to work effectively in all sectors of the economy.

By decision of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, employees who hold a position of supervision or management will be exempted from the obligation to mark the Digital Card, as long as this is provided for in their individual employment contract and the way they are declared in the P.S. Tool.

In addition, within the next two months, in conjunction with the start of operation of ‘TOOL II’, the ministry will have resolved the problems that have been highlighted and it will be possible to register in the system any changes to the schedule and overtime.”

The Ministry of Labor and Social Security, with its recent decision, announced that the full implementation of the digital work card in the businesses that fall under the industry and retail trade sectors, which also include street markets, will begin on July 1, 2024
