A 23-year-old foreigner was arrested on Tuesday evening in Colonos by police officers of the Patrols sub-directorate of the Athens Police Department, against whom an arrest warrant was pending for attempted murder and robbery.
In particular, according to ELAS, in the context of patrols and checks by police officers of the Patrol sub-directorate in the Plato Academy area and in particular in Agios Georgios Square, the accused was found to be in possession of a fake identity card with the details of another foreigner.
The police officers immediately verified the forgery of the document and despite the 23-year-old’s attempt to escape, they immobilized him and took him to the Kolonou Security Department where a case file was filed for forgery and perjury.
As it emerged from the investigation, an arrest warrant was pending against the 23-year-old as in August 2023 in the area of ​​Agios Panteleimons, together with an accomplice and with the use of a weapon, he wounded a foreigner in the leg, while a few days earlier in Ilion with the threat of using a knife , removed cell phones from minors.
