Controlled rolling power outages in the coastal areas of the Municipality of Aristoteli Halkidiki, from Ierissos to Ouranoupoli, will take place from tomorrow until June 21, according to information from the DEDDIE.
The work is being done in order to carry out network maintenance and logging, necessary to avoid the risk of extended unplanned outages in July and August, the peak tourist season.
According to the DEDDIE only for tomorrow Thursday, the holidays are expected to last longer, mainly outside large settlements, while from Friday June 14th until June 21st they will be limited to a maximum duration of two hours.
The Municipality of Aristoteli states in his announcement that he recognized the necessity of the works, however, he expressed to DEDDIE the concern over the fact that the specific works were not carried out in the previous months and requested that the maximum possible effort be made to limit the time of power outages in the minimum possible.
He also calls on citizens to show patience and understanding for a few days, as the intensive network maintenance works are useful and have been urgently requested by the Municipality of Aristoteli from DEDDIE in previous years, complaining about the phenomena of sudden power outages in the past, which often lasted even full 24 hours, due to failures due to insufficient maintenance of the network.
For the exact schedule of the holidays for the next few days, citizens can be informed from the DEDDIE website.
