A fire broke out at noon on Wednesday in the Dardiza area, near Kranidi of Argolis.

Shortly after 15:30 in the afternoon, a 112 message was sent to the residents of Dardiza to move away from the area and head towards Thermisia and Petrothalassa in Ermioni.

Strong ground forces of the fire brigade with vehicles from Kranidi, Argos, Nafplio, Tripoli, Corinth, Kalamata and Meligala are working on the fire as well as aerial means and waterborne OTAs.

Mayor of Ermionida: “The fire went out to sea”

“The fire started from above and reached the area of ​​Dardiza, where it went out into the sea, while we are still not in a position to know if it has caused any damage”, said, speaking to the Athens Agency o mayor of Ermionida, Ioannis Georgopoulos.

At the same time, the mayor said that “there are country houses in the area, while several fire brigades are operating”.

It should be noted that strong winds are blowing in the area.
