The fire is ongoing in the Great Cave of Laconia
It is in progress fire that broke out a little while ago in a wooded area north of the settlement Great Cave at Laconia. At the scene, 43 firefighters with 1 pedestrian section and 13 vehicles are working to extinguish it, while aerial water drops are carried out by 3 aircraft and 1 helicopter.
The fire is burning near houses but is not considered threatening.

In the meantime, according to the fire department, the fire was contained to Rethimnoin the area of Three Monasteries, for which
a warning 112 was sent to the residents of the area.

It was also demarcated the fire in Aspropyrgos that burned low vegetation in the Tzaverdella area.
According to the fire department, there are scattered houses and warehouses in the area which were not threatened.
The Fire Department was informed about the fire at approximately 10:30 and 34 firefighters with 2 pedestrian divisions and 10 vehicles are operating at the scene, while a helicopter is assisting the ground forces from the air.
