The attack took place shortly before 1 am when unknown persons threw Molotov cocktails at the watchtower outside the house and then fled. The attack injured a police officer who was taken to the 401 General Military Hospital, where he is being treated with 2nd degree burns on his face and hand, while a police car caught fire.

There is talk of a “crude attack” that was well organized as new information states that the police officer was outside the patrol car and 1.5 minutes after entering the patrol car the specific action took place.

According to the report by Theodosis Panos, in a first conversation the police officer had with his colleagues after the attack, he mentioned that he saw a car pass by and then he was attacked, while at the same time he heard voices

The molotov fell on the patrol car outside the president’s house (there is no police station at the site). The policeman managed to get out of the patrol car in time, which caught fire and was completely destroyed.

Immediate Action arrived at the scene and made 9 arrests in the area, however no arrests were made as no incriminating evidence was found against them.

The police have collected video footage from the cameras in the area, but so far no trace of the perpetrators has been found.

This incident is troubling and raises security issues as the home address of the president of the Supreme Court was not known.
