The Electronic Act of Confirmation of Violation, established by a Joint Ministerial Decision of the Ministers of Citizen Protection, Michalis Chrysochoidis and Digital Governance, Dimitris Papastergiou, became operational as of today and was one of the main priorities of the Minister of Citizen Protection.

In particular, police officers use specially designed mobile devices of the project “Smart Policing” and with the use of an appropriate application, the traffic violation will now be confirmed electronically, initially in a pilot stage in Athens and Thessaloniki.

In fact, upon completion of the police officer’s actions, the certificate of violation will be sent in real time electronically to the citizen’s inbox at gov.gr, utilizing the interoperability and contact details from the National Register of Citizens’ Communications, while at the same time it will be updated by email and with sms to send a message to his inbox.

At the same time, an RF payment code will be generated for the Municipality of Athens, so that citizens can alternatively pay for the call electronically.
