At some point tempers flared, voices rose and the vice-chancellor reacted, strongly asking them to leave the office.
Workers at the educational institution held a protest rally at the Rectorate of EKPA yesterday, on the occasion of the dismissal of the contractual administrative employee and member of the Central Council of the Federation of Administrative Personnel of Higher Education, Dimitris Antoniou.
The workers, after a general assembly, staged a protest in front of the vice-chancellor of EKPA, Sofia Papaioannou, expressing their dissatisfaction.
However, at some point tempers flared, voices rose and the vice-chancellor reacted, strongly asking them to leave the office.
“Out of my office, hey,” shouted Ms. Papaioannou, slamming her hand on the table, the incident being caught on video.
Dimitris Antoniou was suspended from his duties by the administration of the University of Athens, as he had publicly stated that he participated in the sabotage of the EKPA server in February, which resulted in the postponement of distance exams in the University’s faculties.
