In addition, when the 4H or 4L drive modes are selected, the system “locks” all-wheel drive, with power being distributed equally to the front and rear axles. For use in off-road conditions or on slippery terrain such as snow, sand or mud, the all-wheel drive system of the new Ranger XLT offers 4H and 4L options.
In addition to the advanced and efficient four-wheel drive, the diesel engine is also supported by three selectable driving profiles (Normal, Eco, Slippery), which adjust the engine response, traction and stability control as well as the gearbox shift program in order to optimize the vehicle’s performance in the respective conditions.
