Meeting tomorrow in Patras
A case was detected in a livestock unit in mountainous Corinthia plague of small ruminants, according to an informal information from the Ministry of Rural Development and Food.
In order to deal with the problem and to take the measures imposed by the European regulation with the aim of limiting and eradicating the disease, a meeting will be held at the offices of the Regional Unit of Corinthia in a short time, led by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agricultural Development and Food, Giorgos Stratakos and the participation of the Regional Governor of Peloponnese, Dimitris Ptohou, the Deputy Governor of Corinth, Anastasios Giolis, the Deputy Governor of Agricultural Production, Spyros Zacharias, the Deputy Governor of Rural Development of Western Greece, Andreas Filia, the President of EFET, Antonis Zambela, the Vice President of ELGO-DIMITRA, Panagiotis Hatzinikolaou, the head of the Animal Health Directorate, Mary Gianniou, the director of veterinary services of DE PEKDY, Kostas Milios and veterinary services of the Region.
A similar meeting will be held tomorrow in Patras.
It is noted that the tracing of the disease led the services of the HYPAAT and the medical services of the Regions to identify the Corinthian case.
