Public infrastructures that have been damaged by the fire were visited, today, by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Christos Staikouras, together with the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, responsible for Infrastructure, Nikos Tahiao, the Mayor of Penteli Natassa Kosmopoulou and engineers from “Building Infrastructure A .E. (Ministry of Foreign Affairs)”.
A meeting was held at the Town Hall of Penteli, where a first assessment of the situation was made.
The school structures we visited are:
– Nea Penteli High School
– Nea Penteli High School
– Multipurpose hall of Nea Penteli Gymnasium / Lyceum
– Crystal Primary School of Penteli
– 1st Kindergarten of Penteli
– 1st Nursery School of the Municipality of Penteli
– Penteli Primary School,
most of which are undamaged.
The Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Christos Staikouras stated:
“We visited public places, primarily schools, which have been damaged or destroyed by the fire. We are in the process of capturing and first assessing the situation. Immediately, after the situation has been fully recorded and the necessary funding has been found – something that is certain to happen, we will launch the rapid restoration of the infrastructure”.
