At her arrest 19-year-old team leader who was in charge of the little house where she lived eight-year-old girl who drowned in a camp poolin Halkidiki, the forces of the Greek Police advanced.

According to the latest information, a long time ago the deposition process was completed, with the forces of the Greek Police focusing on three persons: the team leader, the lifeguard and the camp manager.

The leader of the group was arrested on the basis of article 306 of the Criminal Code, which refers to the offense of exposure, that is, when someone leaves a person under their protection helpless.

He will probably be brought before the Halkidiki misdemeanor prosecutor tomorrow, while the rest of the persons remain in the frame with the statements continuing on the exact circumstances under which the child was found in the pool.

The eight-year-old girl was intubated from the Kassandrea Health Center to the AHEPA hospital in Thessaloniki, where at 19:00 her death was officially confirmed.

Despite the superhuman efforts of the doctors and EKAV crews, the little boy did not regain consciousness and spread grief to his family, who remained in Thessaloniki.

How the tragedy happened

According to competent sources, after the pool, the children went to the restaurant for food and returned to the houses for the count before nap time. In the process, the girl’s absence was noticed by the responsible group leader, who then raised an alarm throughout the camp. An operation was launched for the child’s disappearance, but unfortunately, shortly after, he was found dead in the pool.

More information on the exact causes of the girl’s death will be “shown” by the autopsy which will be carried out at the Forensic Directorate of Thessaloniki.
