Ecological disaster in Attica from the forest fires of the last ones 8 years old (2017-present) in its continental part District show the data of the updated analysis of burned areas. The figures are reported by meteo, citing European agencies.

From the 2017 up to and including August 13, 2024, 13 major fires have burned more than 700,000 acres as reported by the Copernicus Fast Mapping Service and the European Observatory for Forest Fires (EFFIS). The perimeter of the burned areas is given on the map below.
