In the context of state aid – with regard to damage to equipment – the agricultural holdings that were affected are included from the fire of August 11, 2024 in Attica.

As stated in its announcement, the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, the implementation of the measures of the state aid framework for the areas of Attica affected by the fire of August 11, 2024 is proceeding by the services of the general secretariat of Natural Disaster Recovery and State Aid , in collaboration with the co-competent ministries, the Region of Attica and the Municipalities of the region. In this direction, following the request of the Minister of Rural Development and Food and the recommendation of the Government Committee for State Aid, agricultural holdings are included in the framework of state aid in terms of damage to equipment.

Specifically, with regard to damages to agricultural holdings (equipment, machinery, stored, raw materials, etc.), the state aid framework was activated, which includes a grant against material damages, including damages that would be included in the regulation of State Financial Aid ( KOE). The scheme in question is implemented by the State Aid Committees of the Attica Region with the participation of ELGA, in collaboration with the State Aid Directorate of the General Secretariat for Natural Disaster Recovery and State Aid. Agricultural holdings can submit applications and contact the ELGA correspondent, per Local Community, on the following telephone numbers:

  • Varnavas postal code: 2295097249
  • Grammar Tax Code: 2294320582
  • Marathon Postal Code: 2294320930
  • Nea Makris Postal Code: 2294320930
  • Stamatas postal code: 6942082061
  • Rodopolis postal code: 2132030661

  • Aphidna postal code: 2295320369
  • Postal code of Penteli and Nea Penteli: 2132140529
  • Pikermio postal code: 2106039550 (ext. 6)
  • Rafina postal code: 2294321066

As regards the other damages in the primary sector, i.e. plant production, plant capital and livestock, the ELGA has been competently activated, with its crews having already proceeded with the first autopsies and its correspondents have been activated in every Municipality of Attica.

Therefore, the farmer submits an application to ELGA correspondents for all the damages he has suffered, namely for:

  • damage to plant capital and production, covered by ELGA and the Ministry of Rural Development and Food,
  • damages to fixed capital, which are now covered by the framework of state insurance (damages that would be included in the Regulation of KOEs, etc.),
  • damage to stored products, which is now covered under the state policy (ie damage that would otherwise be covered by the KOE regulation), and
  • other damages, which are now covered by the framework of the state (ie damages that were not included in the regulation of KOEs).

After the submission of the applications of the agricultural holdings to the correspondents of ELGA, the process continues – through the transfer of said data from ELGA – by the State Aid Committees of the Attica Region.
