What has been known so far – After the tragic incident the mayors are taking their measures
At a rapid pace, one revelation follows another about the operation of the fatal amusement park in Pefkohori. Today it became known that its owner was badly evicted from the municipality of Thermaikos where he operated the “I want it” ice rink.
The father of the 19-year-old Yiannis spoke exclusively to SKAI about suspicious transactions between the municipality of Kassandra and the businessman of the fatal Luna Park.
What the 19-year-old’s father said
In particular, the father of the 19-year-old said that: “In the early morning I received information, which is valid, about the cooperation of the municipality with this particular businessman both pre-election and post-election. We know, dear ones, that it is a very good alisverisi all this with the municipalities and with the regions and with throwing away the responsibilities.
The expert, Anastasios Dedes stated that: “Rotten things, pipes, connections, many things, unacceptable, with a talk of the third world and I wonder how this installation worked. This facility had certificates, I wonder who issued those certificates.”
The father of the 19-year-old who was killed in the horror amusement park has demanded justice for his child’s soul. “I don’t have two children, I have three. I will sit them where they do not imagine, I have so much power and no anger in my soul. Because I could accept everything, except for you to tease my child. They literally blew it apart, they smashed my skull to pieces.
The new information on the operation of the Luna Park in Halkidiki
At the same time new elements about the illegal practices of the 58-year-old owner of the fatal amusement park, come to light. In Kozani he tried to participate in a competition with 3 games without any certification and with 4 expired certificates.
In the municipality of Thermaikos of Thessaloniki, he had signed a 60-day contract for the operation of an ice rink on Christmas 2021. Finally, the intervention of the police was necessary in order to remove him from the site after 6 months. The municipality imposed an administrative fine of 5,000 on him while cutting off the electricity supply to the site, with the 58-year-old proceeding to electricity theft and reopening of the ice rink!
In particular, the mayor of Thermaikos, Theodoros Tzekos, stated that: “He did not leave in 60 days, the previous administration saw and suffered to get rid of this activity. In fact, after two months he was not able to get electricity, he was illegally connected to the municipal electricity supply network.
As incredible as it may seem, despite the fact that he had illegally occupied the space, the municipality had to go to court in order to have it removed.”
And the mayor added that: “He had already set it up [το παγοδρόμιο] and what will the municipality do, it will appeal to justice. The mayor cannot send his employees to remove them, they are done with the assistance of the police. Since he was already established over there, you will have to go to court to have him expelled.”
Mayors are taking their measures
After the tragic incident with the death of the 19-year-old in Halkidiki and the confusion of the authorities, the mayors are taking their measures. Already in Agios Mamma, a few kilometers away from Pefkohori, where a big trade fair starts next Thursday, the mayor assigned the evaluation of the envelopes and machines for the amusement park that will be set up in the area, to a private mechanical engineer.
The mayor stated that: “We made an assignment to an engineer who is relevant. Because each machine has specific specifications, specific certificates, EL.OT, iso. The mechanical engineer sees the file, checks the installations and gives a positive or negative opinion”.
Other municipalities are making similar moves, as now the public’s confidence has been shaken and few people visit the amusement parks that are left in operation.
