Seven court officials were fired yesterday by her decision Plenary Session of the Supreme Court due to inadequacy in the performance of the tasks consisting of that had not issued decisions of parties for a very long time.
The Plenary Session met on the initiative of the President of the Supreme Court Maria Georgiou and with the participation of the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court Vassilios Pliotas and decided their dismissal.
A total of eight judges had been referred to the Plenary Session for dismissal, while in a previous Plenary Session before the holidays, six others had been dismissed for the same reasons.
For one of the judges who had been referred with the question of dismissal, the Plenary did not lead to a decision of dismissal as her obstruction was assessed as temporary and that from now on she can fulfill her duties.
Some of those who were fired demanded, as they are entitled by law, to be transferred to the public sector, as employees.
Characteristic of the delays is the fact that one of the fired had still pending decisions from 2012 (!) About 400, while the catapult for their irresponsibility was the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court Vassilios Pliotas emphasizing that their decisions are not read, while The President of the Supreme Court stigmatized the fact that lawyers, citizens and entire families have suffered from their irresponsibility.
Almost all the dismissed had large pending cases, more than 200 decisions and some of some of these offenses were statute-barred.
In fact, in one case, her boss was forced to file a lawsuit because the judge who was finally fired did not hand over the files!
