The video of the attack on the Kifisou bus station is now in the public domain – Motorists are talking about a ghetto among taxi drivers
The video recording the attack on a taxi driver in the square of the KTEL bus station in Kifissos yesterday afternoon is shocking.
In the MEGA footage, three men are seen mercilessly beating the driver by kicking him in the head and body, in front of the eyes of the passengers who fled in fear from the ticket offices when they heard shots being fired.
The wild wood and the shooting occurred on the occasion of a race.
The 28-year-old victim of the attack ended up in the Nice Hospital, while the perpetrator who was settled remains unarrested.
The episode revealed the existence of a mafia operating within the taxi industry.
As the professional motorists complain to SKAI, these are specific drivers who forcibly impose themselves on the squares and take advantage of unsuspecting passengers who are either tourists or come from the countryside and do not know the routes.
They talk about a ghetto and a climate of terrorism.
“These people create problems not only for the passengers but also for us. They usually do customer agra, that is, they choose the routes, take two or three people inside, people who come from the countryside and don’t know Athens give them rides, rob them“, says a typical motorist.
At the same time, citizens also complain to SKAI about incidents of indecency with taxi drivers who are at the KTEL bus station every day.
“I waited, I waited, he tells me to come in, at some point he also took a lady. The lady was going to Kypseli and I was going to Kifissos“, describes a citizen, stressing that when he was asked about his route, he received the answer that they would disembark the woman first and then him.
“I didn’t pay at all because there was a policeman there“, he summarizes.
“It is an almost daily phenomenon of a small portion of fellow criminals who bully their legitimate colleagues who want to work. In the port of Piraeus, while there are legal markets in cooperation with the ΟΛTH, no order of priority is observed and when people get off the ships, there is a bazaar of supply and demand itineraries, resulting in the suffering of the passenger public“, explains Paris Orfanos, General Secretary of SATO.
Taxi drivers also complain that their colleagues obtain taxi licenses by presenting fake documents.
