The capital of São Paulo is receiving another branch of Modern Mamma Osteria, known as Moma, in the western region. The restaurant, run by chefs Salvatore Loi and Paulo Barros, was opened on Oscar Freire Street, in Jardins – one of the main luxury consumer centers in the city.

The restaurant was designed by architect Octavio de Sanctis, who is responsible for the group’s other establishments, including the Ella Fitz bar-restaurant, also in the western part of the city. The establishment has 600 m² of built area, including a dining room open to the sidewalk, and seats 110. The investment for the project was R$6.5 million.
“We always wanted to bring Moma to Jardins,” says Barros. “We found the perfect spot on the corner of Oscar Freire and Padre João Manuel streets. It’s a prime area,” says the chef.

The menu offers appetizer options, such as carpaccio of mignon with taggiasca olives, capers, raisins and grana padano (R$79) and gnocchi stuffed with veal and served with sugo sauce (R$65). You can also order the lasagna mille-feuille, which has buffalo mozzarella and mushroom cream sauce (R$88). The pesto trofie, artichoke fettuccine and pasta fredda are new to the menu.
