With escape rooms and virtual reality educational games, the ELAS stand at TEF 2024
The Hellenic Police actively participates in this year’s International Exhibition of Thessaloniki, inviting all citizens to visit its stand and get to know first-hand the multidimensional actions and innovative initiatives that contribute to the safety and protection of our society.
As emphasized in the relevant announcement, this year, the Greek Police stand offers visitors a unique opportunity to become “Crime Scene Investigators for a Day” through the specially designed escape room.
In this interactive space, with the help of the specialist staff of the Investigations Department of the Criminal Investigation Directorate, participants will be asked to solve a hypothetical crime – the theft of an ancient statuette from a museum. Using forensic methods and tools, visitors will have the opportunity to discover the secrets of crime investigation and experience the thrilling experience of solving a mystery.
In addition, the Hellenic Police offers visitors the opportunity to try the virtual reality (VR) glasses developed by the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate. With the VR glasses, visitors – and especially younger ones – will be able to participate in educational games related to internet safety, so that through a virtual environment they can learn how to protect themselves from modern cyber threats. This experience combines fun with education, making cybercrime prevention accessible and interesting for everyone.
In addition to the above actions, the Greek Police stand at TIF 2024 will offer a series of informative presentations, educational materials and interactive activities covering topics such as domestic violence, sports violence, internet safety, road safety, as well as issues of protection, abuse and delinquency of minors.
As every year, educational and informative material will be distributed to the children who will visit the Greek Police stand, as well as souvenirs and other surprises.
Stand Dates and Hours of Operation: From September 7 to 15, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on weekdays and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on weekends.
