A 32-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday in Chalandri by police officers of the North-Eastern Attica Security Sub-Directorate. A case was filed against him for computer fraud.

After investigating information regarding a person who made online purchases of mobile phones from a store, using card details from foreign banks of other owners, the 32-year-old was identified by the Police and his criminal activity was certified.

In particular, according to ELAS, the accused, after making the purchases, received the mobile phones, then the store was informed of the non-acceptance of the transaction by the involved bank due to non-approval of their owner.

During his arrest, following a search, they found in his possession and confiscated:

• 7 sealed packages containing mobile phones, the origin of which is being investigated,

• 2 mobile phones,

• 2 bank cards and

• the sum of 11,280 euros, 3 US dollars. and 5 British pounds.

As noted by the Police, the 32-year-old is the owner of a store that sells and sells mobile phones, while the investigation into the origin of the bank cards, as well as the full extent of his criminal activity, continues.

The arrested person was taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Athens.
