“There will be no increases in water tariffs“, clarified the Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, Alexandra Sdoukouspeaking to and on the show “Morning” with Fai Mavragani.

Regarding the water tariffs, Ms. Sdoukou pointed out that “from now on, the independent regulatory authority has the responsibility and supervision of the tariffs. It is not possible to have a different methodology and a different way of invoicing throughout the country. It is trying to have single, uniform rules.”

Referring to the letter sent by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to the President of the Commission, Ursula von de Lier, Ms. Sdoukou emphasized: “During the summer we saw that there is a mini energy crisis in our neighborhood, as a result of which we saw an increase in the wholesale price” .

“After the shock of the energy crisis and the war, we have realized that energy is quite vulnerable. We forget the current we knew. Now, the situation we had in previous years, where we did not know it was coming, did not concern us, that has passed”, added the Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, noting that “the retail price of electricity in Greece remains below the European average, we have cheaper electricity compared to other European countries”.
