In the early morning hours, he was transferred to the Ilia Police Department, where the investigation process did not last for many hours, since early in the morning he confessed to the heinous crime.

The element that led to the arrest

The decisive element that played a role in the location and arrest of D.V. seems to have been the recording of the agricultural vehicle that was driving from a closed circuit at a gas station in Ilia, where it had stopped to put petrol. From that moment they started following him to the point where he was arrested in Patras.

Meanwhile, the agricultural car with which the 60-year-old from Ilia to Patras moved last night, remains at the Patras Police Headquarters and is being investigated by police officers of the Patras criminal office.

In addition, all the data collected in the previous days by the forensic science and the marking found at the crime scene, have been sent to laboratories in Athens and the results of the investigations are expected in the coming days.

Regarding the time of death of all four members of the family, Ms. Chiola stated that “from the time of the first autopsy at home, ie around 21:30 last Wednesday, it was about four and a half to five hours from the time of death ». It is also important to mention the fact that at 7-8 pm on the day of the murder, the main suspect has been recorded by house cameras walking outside the house where the horrible crime took place.

No signs of burglary were found in the house where the murder took place.
