A serious incident between young hoodlums took place a few minutes after 5am in its centre Volos. According to exclusive information of the Events, the episode started at the junction of Iasonos and Mavrokordatos streets, opposite the Dome of the University of Thessaly and continued with a chase, rock fight and chair fight, up to Polymeri and the surrounding streets.
The “target” was a young man wearing black clothes and a hood, who, holding in his hands an iron about one meter long, went out on foot to Iasonos from Mavrokordatou, after earlier causing damage to a business in the area. He was allegedly accompanied by two other people riding a two-wheeler.
When the young man on foot arrived near “Pezoulia”in the park of Saint Constantine, about 10 people suddenly appeared, also wearing black clothes and hoods, who started chasing him. In fact, eyewitnesses saw stones, wood and even chairs being thrown at him from the cafes in the area. The young man with the iron kept running and, crossing the park, went up to Polymeri Street. According to information, the manhunt continued in the surrounding streets, while in the meantime the police had been alerted by an eyewitness to the incident, without so far being informed of any arrests or arrests.
